The conference entitled “Active Learning and Entrepreneurship Pedagogy” is organized by the Department of Balkan, Slavic and Oriental Studies (University of Macedonia) – Entrepreneurship lab, the School of Philosophy and Education, Microteaching Laboratory (AUTH), the Department of Management Science and Technology (University of Peloponnese) and the Alexander Innovation Zone, will be held in Thessaloniki on 19-20/11/2024, University of Macedonia.

The educational conference attempts to discuss the educational dimensions, pedagogical issues, and didactic concerns raised during the introduction of entrepreneurship in education. Recognizing that entrepreneurship, together with innovation, are skills that are promoted internationally in education systems, focuses on the pedagogical framework of the learning process, in which students develop transferable skills (e.g. opportunity recognition, collaboration, communication, ethical thinking, etc.). At the same time, however, this educational conference can also contribute to the educational needs in the classroom and/or the school unit of teachers, such as skill workshops, the vocational guidance of students, and the school’s connection with the school’s local community, etc. The educational conference involves representatives from national and international bodies, academics, and experts from both Greece and abroad, through keynote speeches, practical workshops, and a panel discussion with students, teachers, and members of the business ecosystem. The conference aims to attract participants from primary and secondary education teachers and university entrepreneurship instructors.

The conference is a two-day event. Each day consists of two sessions. The first session includes keynote speakers from the Ministries of Education and Labor and international experts and the second session includes a workshop for entrepreneurship educators (registration, required).

Certificates will be given to all participants.
